The Russian Federation and ASEAN are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of a dialogue partnership and the 30th anniversary of relations this year.

On October 26, 2021, the Russia-ASEAN Business Council, within the framework of the Russia-ASEAN interstate summit, in order to expand cooperation through public organizations, business leaders, religious prominent figures, leading representatives in the field of science, education, ecology, culture and art, organized and held a dialogue of public leaders in a hybrid format - a Dialogue of Partnership and Cooperation.

The event was attended by Ivan Polyakov, Chairman of the Russia-ASEAN Business Council, Zelfira Tregulova, General Director of the State Tretyakov Gallery, Ilze Liepa, People's Artist of Russia, Abbyasov Rushan Hazrat, First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia, Grigory Zaslavsky, Rector of the Russian Institute of Theatrical Art–GITIS, Boris Mashkovtsev, General Director of the Soyuzmultfilm Studio, Nikolay Toivonen, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development of the St. Petersburg State Economic University, Ekaterina Koldunova, Director of the ASEAN Center at MGIMO, Dmitry Petrovsky, Representative of Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Advisor to the Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia.
