21st ASEAN BAC JBC Meeting

The Russia-ASEAN Business Council took part in the 21st meeting of the ASEAN BAC Joint Business Councils, which was held on January 30, 2023 in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia.
The meeting discussed the plans of the business leaders of the ASEAN member states, as well as joint business councils for 2023, issues of the activities of working groups within the ASEAN BAC. Also during the meeting, the ceremony of transferring the chairmanship within ASEAN BAC from the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of Indonesia took place.
Chairman of ASEAN BAC, President of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Arsjad Rasjid noted that the motto of Indonesia's chairmanship in ASEAN in 2023 is "ASEAN is the epicentrum of growth". He informed the participants of the meeting that in the framework of the chairmanship, work is planned to strengthen ASEAN through the building of a solid regional health architecture, maintaining food and energy security, strengthening financial stability, as well as supporting ecology and sustainable development.
