EEF-2021: Working meeting with the Minister of Planning, Finance and Industry of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Win Shein

Chairman of the Russia-ASEAN Business Council Ivan Polyakov held a working meeting with the official delegation of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, headed by Minister of Planning, Finance and Industry Win Shein.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation were discussed. In particular, the issues of the importance of holding international events in order to establish business contacts, as well as the development of institutional measures to support exports were touched upon.
The parties agreed on the mutual exchange of information on cooperation between Russia and Myanmar, as well as the formation of proposals for the intensification of bilateral cooperation.

Conference dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Russia and Thailand Diplomatic Relations
The year 2022 will mark a significant milestone for Russia and Thailand. More than a century and a quarter ago the two nations decided to get engaged in friendly relations. To commemorate this significant date, MGIMO (Russia) and Thammasat University (Thailand) are conducting a joint conference on the history and current state of Russian-Thai relations. The event will be held on February 21-22 in a hybrid format.
